Bonus Chart of the Day

Each week I track the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Commitment of Traders (COT) reports, across currencies, commodities and financial markets to get a feel for what some of the world’s most sophisticated traders think of the near-term prospects for various asset classes.

The chart below suggests that futures speculators have grown more bullish on stocks (top panel), and bearish on treasuries (bottom panel) of late; supporting other technical evidence that maybe (i.e., absolutely no guarantees!) the current correction is nearing its bottom:
